ALEXANDRIA, Va. (CN) – Hana Amal Beshara, 30, of North Brunswick, N.J., and founder of NinjaVideo.net was sentenced Friday by U.S. District Judge Anthony J. Trenga to 22 months in federal prison for copyright piracy. Beshara’s site allowed millions of users illegally download movies and TV shows. She must serve 2 years of supervised release, do 500 hours of community service, repay more than $209,000 in profits and forfeit to the federal government financial accounts and computer equipment involved in the crimes.
